Liberty Music Academy ("LMA") was founded by two musicians with one goal in mind: to teach real-world skills to the next generation of music industry professionals.
Our flagship program, the Liberty Ladder Systemâ„ , brings this mission to life by combining one-on-one private lessons with monthly performance and industry group classes—all taught by music industry experts at our on-site facility. For young beginners, this approach makes learning fun, motivating, and inspiring from the very first lesson, helping them build the skills, confidence, and curiosity to stick with music for the long term. For older, more mature students, the Liberty Ladder Systemâ„ takes learning to the next level by exploring real careers in the music industry—from songwriting and artistry to music technology, arrangement, and more.
Alongside the Liberty Ladder Systemâ„ , we also offer our elite, audition-based Student Band Program and flexible In-Home Lessons in order to meet each student’s unique learning goals and schedule.

LIBERTY LADDER SYSTEMâ„
(AGES 5-18)
Our core on-site program, The Liberty Ladder Systemâ„ , is comprised of two ladder levels which combine private lessons and group classes into each month's curriculum. Each week, students meet with their teachers one-on-one for private instruction or attend 60-minute performance and industry classes with their peers. On average, our students receive 3 weeks of private lessons and 1 week of group classes each month. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced.

STUDENT BAND PROGRAM
(AGES 8-18)
Our on-site Student Band Program is an elite audition-based supplement to our Liberty Ladder Systemâ„ and In-Home Lessons. Student band members meet for weekly rehearsals during our 16-week Spring & Fall semesters to learn, arrange, and perform a polished set of repertoire at real venues in and around Nashville. Depending on tier, band members enrolled in our 16-week semesters will also explore a variety of Above & Beyond Perks, including demo recording, stage choreography, band songwriting, music video production, and more.

IN-HOME LESSONS
(AGES 5-18)
Our In-Home Lesson program offers families in Nashville and its surrounding areas a convenient music education option to fit any busy schedule. Rather than attending the private lesson and group classes included on-site with our Liberty Ladder Systemâ„ , in-home students receive top-notch instruction each and every week within the comfort of their own homes from our specially equipped team of in-home teachers.
